Is the venue indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and reception at Stillwater Meadow will be indoors. There is a short outdoor walk between spaces.
What should I wear?
We invite guests to wear cocktail or dressy casual attire. Ladies as you pick your footwear, know that there will be a short walk to the chapel and reception hall on a gravel parking lot/pathway. The weather is getting chilly, so don't forget to bring something warm to wear for the walk between spaces!
Are both the ceremony and reception at the same location?
Yes! The chapel is the third building back from the road on the property and there is a short walk next door to the reception hall.
What time should I arrive?
We ask guests to arrive 30 minutes early to allow time to find parking, sign the guest book, and find a seat before the ceremony starts promptly at 4:00 pm.
Is there free parking on the property?
Yes there is! But the parking lot is not very large. We encourage you to carpool if possible and park "snugly" so we can fit everyone!
What happens after the ceremony?
Immediately after the ceremony, guests will walk straight to the reception hall where they can find their table and enjoy appetizers while the couple, their bridal party, and their families will spend about an hour taking photos.
How do I get to the venue?
Please see the Driving Directions tabs for detailed driving instructions and pictures. Full disclosure, I (Loralyn) miss the turn into the venue every time I approach the venue driving west on Bankhead Highway (if you take exit 420). I have much better luck avoiding unnecessary u-turns when I take exit 418 and drive east on Bankhead Highway.
Are children welcome?
Unfortunately due to the size of the venue, we have had to limit those children who attend to those of close family only. We appreciate your understanding and hope you'll take the chance to enjoy the evening and relax as you celebrate with us.
Will there be dinner at the reception?
Yes! Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm. Come ready to have some tasty fajitas! We have passed along those dietary restrictions and allergies our guests have shared with us to our caterer to make appropriate accommodations.
Are there any specific COVID precautions I should take?
We care deeply about each of you and want to ensure this is a safe event. During the ceremony, we are asking all guests to wear a mask to keep our family and wedding party safe as they may be unmasked for the pictures that will be taken during the ceremony. If you are ill, have had an exposure to someone who is ill, or are experiencing any new symptoms, please stay home and celebrate with us by watching the video stream of the ceremony which will be posted later that evening. For more specific information, please see the COVID updates tab.
I can't make it in person. Will there be a recording of the ceremony?
Yes! We will have a link (can be found under the Video Stream tab) where loved ones who can't attend can watch our ceremony later in the evening the day of the wedding. The link will be available for a week after the wedding.
Originally, we had planned to have a livestream, but because of limited WiFi on the property, the video will be uploaded later that evening.
