Josh and Loreen's story began in the lively atmosphere of Rheinhaus. They were both there with their respective rugby team mates. Joshua - Seattle Saracens and Loreen - Seattle University. Joshua approached Loreen with a simple, "Hey, How's it going?" As the night came to a close, they almost went their separate ways without exchanging numbers. Luckily, Joshua asked for it!

This is the very first photo that Joshua and Loreen ever took together.

After Loreen graduated from Seattle U, she moved to British Columbia. For the next three years, Loreen and Joshua traveled between Vancouver and Seattle on weekends to spend time together. When COVID-19 struck and the borders closed, it became much more difficult to do so. In January of 2021, Joshua moved to Vancouver and had to be quarantined alone in an AirBnB basement suite for two weeks!

After an early start and a full day spent hiking and exploring the Rockies, Joshua surprised Loreen by pretending to take a photo opportunity – how often does Joshua ever take a photo moment? As they gazed over the view of the town of Banff below, he proposed to her!

Just one hour after receiving the keys to their new home in Kitsilano, Vancouver, Joshua and Loreen held a civil ceremony in their yard, with family present to bear witness and celebrate.
