How We Met

Michael and Lorewell met in the summer of 2019. At that time, Lorewell was home in Illinois for summer break from pharmacy school at UW-Madison. During that summer, Michael and Lorewell found that they shared a lot in common and soon things sparked quickly! Unfortunately after all the summer fun, Lorewell had to go back to Madison for school. Despite the distance, Michael and Lorewell kept in touch and grew even closer. During Lorewell’s years in pharmacy school, Michael supported her and always encouraged her through all the challenges.

Our Life and Our Adventures

After Lorewell’s graduation and starting a life together, they added one small & furry member to their mini-family. Their crazy Aussie pup added a lot of excitement to their lives!

After settling into their new life and routine together, Michael and Lorewell went back to their spontaneous adventures of hiking and traveling around new places. They hiked up huge sand dunes, went down large caves, took pictures along steep cliffs, and came to love the beauty of the world around them.

Our Engagement

Michael finally popped the big question on June 4th, 2023 after hiking up 800 plus feet through the Portage Pass Trail in Alaska. On top of a steep outlook overlooking the Portage Glacier and majestic mountains, Michael felt “on top of the world” and asked Lorewell to spend the rest of her life with him!
