Maui is our favorite as it's not too big and not too small!

Kihei is full of the best beaches, the sunnier side of the island and gorgeous sunsets.

You can stay north or south of the town, but if you want walking distance to restaurants, bars, stores and more, stay closer to the center near any of the Kamaole beaches (there are I, II, and III).

Driving. You will need a car. You may want to explore more parts of the island. Some of our favorites are Napili Beach and Paia (small surf town with cute stores and a great restaurant Paia Fish Market). The Road to Hana is something awesome if you've never done it, but you need an entire day and definitely not for one that gets car sick! Mt Haleakala is an amazing view if you want to drive up in the early morning hours and watch the sunrise.

There is a winery, MauiWine, up on the hill. Ok wine but a very pretty drive and location.
