Our Wedding

Our story began one unexpected evening at a local bar when I noticed him from across the way. He had just swept up another impressive game of pool. The win caught my attention, not to mention the bright red hair and beard. I went on with my night as I was friends not expecting to run into anybody of interest that night. Later on, I saw him standing near the dartboard when my friend, Jessica, and I walked over to play darts. We couldn't figure out how to start the game and get the game to take our money when I thought to ask the red-headed stranger. With a charming smile, he said, “I’ll help you, but only if you and I can be on a team together." I thought what a suave move - okay, i see you. So, we played game of darts which we ended up winning. He didn't really leave my side after that. We were having a great night and eventually decided to finish off the night with some pancakes and breakfast food at Denny's. Our friends tagged along. John and I sat next to each other and were able to get to know each other a little bit more as well as continue enjoying the night with friends. He was winning a lot of brownie points and by the time we were ready to go home I was interested- now he just needed to ask for my number. Once we were finished, we all started making our way outside. I slowed down from the group thinking he would be more comfortable asking me out if we strayed behind and it was just us. Instead, he looks at me confused and asks, "Do you need to go to the bathroom?" I rolled my eyes subconsciously and continued forward outside. He was cute, sweet, but dense, or as I would later learn too nervous. Luckily, he managed to get my number through one my friends. Slick one he was. He texted me the next day and I texted him right back...after waiting an hour. We hit it off, sending flirty texts back and forth. We decided our first date we would go to Old Towne for steak and then bowling. I was glad I had ordered chicken tenders, because the steak he cooked was a bit tough - well done tough. Of course, he didn't mind and powered through while I just kept holding back my laugh. Once we were stuffed, we went to Manteca Strike Zone. We both learned quick we could both be pretty competitive. I was promising him I would take him down and he was too. We had such an energy while enjoying each other items company that another team had noticed. It was a group of young boys that noticed how competitive our game was getting. I was convinced John was taking it easy on me while John was in disbelief trying to convince me that I was really good. At one point, one of the boys on the other team asked me how long we had been together to which I responded excitedly that this was our first date! He gestured to John and said, "He's a keeper." To my surprise, he really was. I couldn't stop smiling as I drove home from our first date—and our first kiss. Not long after, he surprised me by asking me to be his girlfriend—even after I dragged him to two horror movies (it was Halloween, after all!). His unexpected interest left me thrilled and a little amazed. Two years flew by, and together we bought a home, creating a cozy life with our beloved fur babies. Now, we’re ready to take the next big step in our love story: getting married! We’re so excited to celebrate this new chapter with all of you—our cherished family and friends. Your love and support mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to share this special day together.

We’re excited to let you know that our wedding venue offers a variety of laidback accommodations, including tent camping, RV trailer spots, and cabin rentals for the weekend. Please contact the camp in order to reserve your spots. ￼ If you’re interested in a cabin rental, please reach out to the bride or groom directly before contacting the venue, as they can assist with the arrangements.

There are many hotels near the wedding venue to choose from. The Best Western, a 3-star hotel, is located about 15 minutes away and offers convenient accommodations.
