Our Wedding

Damien and Lorraine met through the famous Lowry's Music and Whiskey Bar in Clifden. Lorraine and her sister Ashline and their boss Damien would have a regular Monday night in the pub to listen to their favourite band Rofi James. Damien ( a shy guy haha!) would give Lorraine a hot chocolate on the house and things from there on went smoothly for them.

Damien finally got the courage to ask Lorraine out in the famous Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin at the Irish Pub Awards. As ye all know we both love our nights away and after many many beautiful stays far and near Damien knew Lorraine was the one. On the 18th March 2025, Damien proposed to Lorraine close to Pine Island and she said yes!! This was followed by a stunning stay in Ballynahinch Castle where we planted a tree to mark such a special date in our hearts.

Our wedding ceremony will begin at 1pm sharp in St. Oliver Plunkett Church (H91 PX95) in Renmore followed by reception in the beautiful Clayton Hotel (H91 D526) in Galway City. Our day two will also be in the Clayton Hotel the following day (Sunday 8th) starting from 2.30pm. Live music, dancing, and food throughout the day and night! Guests who are musicians please feel free to bring your instrument. :-)

At Eyre Square, the warm and comfortable Imperial Hotel in Galway city center is close to Galway University NUIG and the bus and railway station. Off-site Parking available in a Public Multi-Story Car Park - Hynes Yard Car Park at a discounted Price of €10 for 24 Hours. All rooms are spacious and bright, with modern cherry-wood furniture and a contemporary decor. The residents lounge is informal, cozy and open until late. The outdoor patio is perfect for those lazy sunny days. Corrib Shopping Center is next door, and there is a taxi rank just outside the hotel. Imperial Hotel Galway

Each of these city-center apartments has a great location close to Eyre Square. The property offers free underground parking for one vehicle per apartment. In each apartment there is a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious lounge with cable TV, a dining area and free, secure underground parking. Guests can dine in the Western Bar & Restaurant which is just a minute's walk from the apartments. During their stay, guests have access to Snap Fitness gym for a surcharge. Western Citypoint Apartments is run by Western Hotel, which is located nearby. Check-in for the apartments is at the Western Hotel. There is a separate car park for Citypoint Apartments. At the hotel, directions to the Citypoint car park will be given, as well as a fob to gain access.

The family-run Western Hotel is located in the heart of Galway, just off Eyre Square. The property offers limited on-site parking, spacious rooms with attached bathroom, a restaurant and a cozy bar which hosts traditional Irish music every Wednesday &amp; Thursday night. Consisting of three Georgian buildings, the hotel offers an old-world style along with modern facilities Rooms at the Western have private bathrooms with baths, showers and hairdryers. They also include tea/coffee making facilities. Freshly Cooked and continental breakfasts are served daily in the restaurant. 3-course evening meals are served, and guests can enjoy a carvery, a light lunch menu, and an evening á la carte menu. Fine local produce is used in all meals. The bright and spacious Western Bar has a fine selection of drinks and shows major sporting events on large screen TVs. Our Wedding Day 2 will be held in the Clayton Hotel, Galway (same room as wedding night) and it will kick off at 2.30pm. Live music, Dance and Food and plenty of craic to be had! We would kindly ask our guests that are musicians to bring their instruments and join in throughout the weekend!
