<p>On October 29, 2022, Louis and Claire both went to a masquerade ball held at St. Francis De Sales parish. Lou remembers Claire walking down the stairs into the hall and was immediately entranced. He promptly walked up to the friends he had gone with, pointed at her, and confidently said, "Dibs on that one". Claire was with a large group of friends, so Lou patiently waited until she had broken away from the group to approach her. As Claire went to put her belongings down, Lou wasted no time and approached her, asking to dance. Claire was absolutely giddy. She had seen him as she entered the hall and could feel his eyes on her. She had thought he was cute but brushed it off thinking that he was surely spoken for. She took Lou's hand and was guided to the dance floor. She was pleasantly surprised to see that Lou was not the most graceful dancer and had bumped into two or three older women as he attempted to guide Claire around the dance floor. She giggled and gave sheepish answers to the questions that Lou was asking, determined to get to know her. Once the dance had ended, Claire got nervous and ran away to grab a drink of water and gush with her friends. Luckily, Lou is a patient man and asked Claire to dance twice more that evening. As Claire left, she made sure to inform Lou that she was leaving. He asked for her phone number and said that he would be in touch soon and that they should go out again. As Claire left, she couldn't believe what had just happened. As she and her friends had driven to the church, she recalls one of her friends saying, "What if one of us meets our future husband while we are at the dance?" At the time, Claire had rolled her eyes thinking that surely such a fairy tale couldn't exist in real life. Three hours later, she was in awe at how well the Lord knew her heart and was astounded at the story she now got to share. This Disney-loving girl had gotten her own fairy tale. Two years later, these two are about to embark on their happily ever after.</p>
