Joel moved from Ohio in 6th grade. Lourdes moved from New York in 4th grade. They crossed paths when they went to the same middle school, junior high school, and high school. Joel and Lourdes started getting closer in the final weeks of Joel’s second year of college and Lourdes’ first year of college. Lourdes transferred from BSU to IUK to pursue a closer relationship with Joel. They started dating as of June 16th 2021, and got engaged on June 7th 2022.

Lourdes attends her final years at IUK for Elementary Education. Joel will graduate in the Summer of 2024 with the same major in Elementary Education!
