Thank you.
The examples below are to help guide those who are not wearing traditional Indian attire to the events and are unsure what is appropriate.
These examples are mainly for Mackenzie's side or for anyone who has not attended an Indian wedding.
If you are able, it is preferable that traditional clothing is worn.
This will be the first event of traditional Indian attire.
If you are not wearing a traditional dress; a long, colorful, flowy sundress will work perfectly. Think "easy to dance in". Avoid long sleeves so your mehndi (henna) won't smear.
Some examples here:
This will also be the first event for traditional attire for men. If you are not wearing traditional attire; dress pants (neutral or colorful), linen pants, with a dress shirt or collard shirt would be a great option.
Some examples here:
The theme of this traditional ceremony is yellow, all shades! Yellow sundresses are perfect for this event. However, please keep modesty in mind. Avoid low cut tops and short bottoms as well as cut outs. This is a very religious event.
Here are some examples if you're not wearing traditional attire.
Yellow dress shirts, button up or polo would be good options. Linen or dress pants. No shorts, or athletic pants please. Another option would be yellow pants with a white or linen shirt.
This will be the second and final event for traditional Indian attire. If you are not wearing traditional clothing, it will be formal/semi formal attire. Long dresses, please avoid red, white, and gold. Dinner will follow after Lagna Vidhi, no need for outfit change between.
Also please avoid prom dresses.

(I know a couple of these are red, ignore that, just example for styles lol)
This is also the second and final event for men to wear traditional Indian attire. If you are not wearing traditional clothing, please wear a suit. It will be a formal/semi formal attire.
