It's a love story as old as time. I was shark fishing in the Pacific Northwest and Lu was surfing nearby when a group of great whites surrounded her. I pulled out my mighty harpoon gun and....gotcha!

Now the real story:

The year was 2021 and the youngster Kyle matches with Lu through a right swipe. Being bold, Kyle asks Lu on a first date to an escape room however that was unsuccessful.

One year goes by. Kyle gains a couple grey hairs and Lu got a new knee. Both happen to still be on the same dating app where Kyle drops the best pickup line of the century:

"I'm just circling back with the people I've previously matched with to see if you'd like to go on a date." This got Lu's attention and in her mind she was thinking: "Who even starts with that kind of pick up line!"

A month goes by before the first date. We finally meet and the first question that Kyle asks: "Why aren't you married yet?"

Through multiple trips to Mammoth to learn snowboarding, Kyle "breaking" his ankle at Big Bear, Lu cursing the heavens on the golf course, lighting off the fun fireworks in Georgia, all the authentic Chinese food you can eat, and watching the sunset on the skydeck, we fast forward and the questions have changed to:

"Will you marry me?"

"When should we get married?"

"What should the wedding look like?"

"How many people should we invite?"

The list goes on.....

Statically, the odds of getting this far are slim but when two people are searching for their sense of home, the laws of attraction seem to bring them together.

We've found our home in each other.
