Timeline

I’ve read somewhere that said "to love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides." That’s what being with Lucas feels like for me. I’ve loved him since I was 16 and I've always known that I wanted to marry him one day. It was always a feeling. A gentle tug on my heart. On the first day of middle school, I saw Lucas sitting in the school courtyard by himself. I walked up to him, introduced myself, and I said that we were going to be best friends. His only response was, 'okay' and that was that. We were 10 years old. As we got older, our friendship grew into something more. After high school, we were so worried that college would separate us. To our surprise, God had His own plans which brought Lucas and I to the same university, where we started dating. After graduating from college together, we settled in Las Vegas where we now call home. In all the time we have been together, as friends and as a couple, I know God has been there for us in the extreme highs, the lowest of lows, and everything else in between. As we look back, I can see His Hand has been on us all along, carefully joining our paths. When I was little, I’d pray to Jesus about who I'd marry one day. Now, when I pray, I thank Jesus for answering me. Because those prayers brought to me a patient, tender-hearted boy named Lucas...- The Bride Phoebe has always been a constant in my life, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of it with her. The energy and light she brings into a room is like nobody else. Her name means bright and radiant, and that is exactly what she is to me. After the longest days, she is the one person who brings me a sense of peace. Through any struggle we’ve been through together, she is the one who brings me back down to earth. I am so blessed to be with someone so kind, so caring, so conscious of everyone around them. Nobody understands me the way she does, and the fact I get to be with her for my whole life is the biggest blessing I could ever ask for.- The Groom

What should we wear?

Dress to impress! For the ceremony, we would greatly appreciate it if our guests come dressed in black semi-formal attire. Black-tie is optional. Ladies can wear floor length dresses or gowns or midi length dresses. Men can wear a suit jacket or a button shirt and dress pants. No jeans, please. Can we bring our kids?

While we love all of the keikis in our family, we kindly ask that this be an adult-only wedding unless approved by the bride or groom. Due to space limitations and alcohol restrictions of the venue locations, we are only able to accommodate those who are 21 and older.&nbsp;

How do we navigate the city if we've never been to San Francisco?

What can we expect when we get to city hall for the ceremony?

The wedding will be held in City Hall on the 4th Floor Balcony. We expect guests to get to our ceremony location at least 20 minutes prior so everyone can find the balcony and find a seat. Please arrive on time to ensure you get a seat. How far are the venues from the hotel? 

We chose our venues based on proximity. City hall is about a 9 minute walk! Even closer if you take an lyft/uber. Our dinner venue, Original Joe's, will be located in North Beach, Little Italy which is an approx. 10 minute drive from our hotel.

Will we be indoor or outdoor?

Our wedding ceremony and dinner will be located indoors! It will be a little chilly in San Francisco during this time of year, so if you are walking to City Hall (or just in general) we suggest that you bring a warm jacket or coat!

Can we bring a plus one? 

Since we are only able to accommodate a limited number of guests at the venue(s), we are asking that you simply bring those who were invited by name on the invitations.

Parking 

Valet parking is available at the San Francisco Proper for those who decide to drive their own vehicle (rates vary based on stay). There is no self-parking at the hotel. Guests are also required to pay for parking fee per night.

Will there be an open bar? 

Yes! The drinks are on us but the hangover is on you!

Q + A

If you are unsure of where to stay during your time in the city, join us at the San Francisco Proper Hotel! We have reserved a block of 20 rooms so that our guests have the opportunity to stay together! Rooms are on a first-come first-serve basis. If for some reason you are unable to book a room with our group code, don't worry! You can still stay with us at The Proper and reserve a room for a similar rate. Guests are required to book their rooms 60 days before their stay. Last day to book for group rate: March 29, 2025.
