Lucas' Perspective of Meeting Tay

It wasn’t exactly a traditional beginning. I had gone on a date with someone who, unknowingly, would end up introducing me to the person I was actually meant to find. Through her, Taylor reached out to me, just a simple message on social media, but from the very first conversation, something felt different. Effortless. Exciting. Real. Within a week of talking, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I needed to meet her in person. So I asked her out, and we went to see a movie together. It was simple, nothing extravagant, but from that night on, everything changed. What started as a message turned into something neither of us could have expected. From that day forward, we’ve barely spent any time apart. We’ve grown up side by side, through three years of high school, four years of college, and three years of building our lives as adults. Every step, every challenge, every milestone has only made us stronger, more certain of what we found in each other. Now, after all this time, I still feel the same pull I did in that very first week, the certainty that this is where I’m meant to be. I can’t wait to marry the love of my life in front of the people who mean the most to us, and begin the next chapter of our story together.

Taylor's Perspective Of Meeting Lucas

It always makes me laugh thinking about how our story began. I was only 15 years old, just finishing up gymnastics practice, when I first saw Lucas walking in to pick up his brother, Dylan. I remember thinking, “Wow… he is really cute.”Lucas started picking Dylan up from practice regularly, and over time, my little crush became pretty obvious — especially to my sister, Morgan. A few weeks later, as we were leaving practice one night, she rolled down the car window and shouted across the parking lot, “My sister thinks you’re hot!”I was absolutely mortified. In that moment, I was convinced I would never recover from the embarrassment… and I was pretty sure I might actually kill Morgan.A little time passed, and then came Valentine’s Day 2016. Morgan was having a small get-together with some friends, including Dylan. I decided this was my chance to ask him some questions and learn more about Lucas. I managed to get Lucas’ Instagram “score” (which felt like a huge accomplishment at the time), only to find out he had a girlfriend. Bummer.Fast forward to July 2016 — I had just gotten back from a family trip to Disneyland when I found out one of my gymnastics friends had gone on a date with Lucas. She told me it had gone well, but that he just wasn’t her person. I remember thinking, “Shoot your shot… what do you have to lose?” So, I asked her if I could message him.To my surprise, Lucas responded, and we started talking. We spent some time getting to know each other over Snapchat until he finally worked up the courage to ask me out.From the very first time I saw Lucas, I felt like there was something special about him. The moment I met him in person, I knew he was one of a kind. There was an instant connection that I can still feel when I think back on that first chapter of our story.No one has ever made me feel as loved, supported, and truly seen as Lucas does. He is not only my person, but my best friend — and I am so grateful that a simple gymnastics practice, a little sister’s embarrassing announcement, and a little bit of courage led me to the love of my life.

The shuttle will depart from the Indigo Hotel Downtown at 2:30 PM, providing transportation to the venue and return 10:15 PM. Detailed departure and return times will be shared closer to the event, so please check for updates.

Car Rental

Guests arriving via Chattanooga Airport will find rental car counters conveniently located in the arrivals hall near baggage claim. Car rental services are also available at Nashville and Knoxville airports. While the venue offers complimentary parking, please note that overnight parking is not permitted, and any vehicles left overnight will be towed.

Will There Be Venue Parking?

Complimentary parking is available at the venue; however, we strongly encourage guests to utilize our shuttle service, and please be advised that overnight parking is strictly prohibited and any vehicles left on-site will be towed.

Is There A Dress Code?

Yes, a dress code will be enforced; please refer to the dress code tab for detailed instructions.

Will There Be an Alcohol Policy?

Yes, both we and the venue kindly request that guests refrain from bringing any outside alcohol, including items such as shooters or flasks, as alcoholic beverages will be provided via an open bar for the duration of the event.

Will Transportation Be Provided?

Transportation shuttles will be provided from the Indigo Hotel downtown Chattanooga; when completing the RSVP, please indicate your intent to use the shuttle service by selecting “yes,” and refer to the transportation tab for further instructions.
