I, Sarah, received a follow request on Instagram... not sure who this guy was, I asked my friend/bridesmaid Ally Lukens who this handsome dude was. Her response was... "Sarah if he messages you, you are REPLYING! You guys would be so cute together!" A few weeks go by and on December 2nd, 2021, I received a message from Luke saying, "All I want for my birthday is a cute girl named Sarahs number." I thought it was a little "cringy" but did in fact send him my number. Just a few days later on December 4th, we had our first date at L.May here in Dubuque. On our date we connected over my Grandpa Jim and Lukes Dad Harley being best friends, we truly felt like we were meant to meet each other.

Fast forward to March of 2024, we took a hiking trip over spring break to see the beautiful Zion National Park. What I thought was just a little getaway turned into a proposal on top of the Canyon Overlook Trail at Zion. I said yes and the rest was history!
