It’s a tale as old as time, really. One moment you’re awkwardly walking out of the gym in the same direction as someone who is friends with your friends but you’ve never talked to. The next, it’s Friday night and you get a call from Heather Graham. You answer it to hear “Megan! Hey! It’s Luke…. Um… Luke Weiland.” You get tacos one time and you fall in love. Less than a year later you find yourself typing up your love story for your wedding website while petting your sweet precious angel dog, Beans.
The tacos were good, but ultimately we fell in love because of our shared love for Jesus Christ. Our early relationship was characterized by equal time spent laughing together, praying together, and chauffeuring Noah Hanau around together. If you know Megan well, you know that everyone she has ever met is a friend. If you know Luke well, you know him as someone who would do anything for his friends. If you knew us both separately before we started dating, you may have thought we’d be compatible… If you’ve seen us dance together in any capacity, you know we are compatible.
This past year, we challenged each other to grow in spiritual, mental, and physical strength daily. We look forward to leaning on each other in marriage to become more the people God wants us to be, wherever it may lead.
Thank you to everyone who is reading this, for being a part of our story and one of our many blessings.
