Our love story started back in 4th grade, whether Collin realized it or not! I first saw Collin at the state 4-H pig show and although I didn’t know his name I came up with one for him.. “Tanny” because anyone that knows Collin knows he has the best tan year round! I thought he was the cutest thing ever.
Fast forward to high school we were starting to see each other more at several different 4-H events. At 4-H round-up in Knoxville, TN is where the “mutual” love story began. After that event, we tried our best to see each other as much as possible! Our first date was at the Macon County Fair where groomsmen Daniel, and our friend Ashley tagged along to make it less awkward I guess! Anyone that knows Collin knows he could talk to a brick wall, so I don’t ever remember an awkward conversation with that boy.
Collin graduated a year before me and really “influenced” my decision to attend The University of Tennessee at Martin. We had some great times at this school and met a lot of the lifelong friends that are in our wedding party. After some ups, downs, and growing up a long the way we reconnected once I was in pharmacy school and we have been inseparable since. As they say, “what is meant to be will always be”.
Collin proposed at the Valley of Fire just outside of Las Vegas while we were in town for the NFR. You can ask Collin about all craziness he went through just trying to get us to Vegas haha!
I said yes, of course and here we are today!
If you are reading this, you were definitely an important part of our story in some way and we are so so thankful for each one of you. We hope to celebrate with you June 8th!!
