The transition from friends to something more came naturally. After waiting for some time, Seth asked Luci on a date after a weekend young adults retreat. Their first date was at Shamrock, an Irish Pub that set the stage for a memorable evening. Little of the food was eaten that night. Afterwards they wandered through shelves of books and enacted some Shakespeare. They ended the evening with a sweet treat at an ice cream parlor, savoring each other’s company.

One of their most memorable outings was a river trip that didn’t go quite as planned. Both their tubes popped, leaving them drenched with a walk back to the starting point.

Their relationship deepened through moments of quiet reflection and shared faith. They often read scripture and prayed together, creating a strong foundation on Christ. Their commitment to each other was tested when they faced a year of long-distance, but every second apart was worth it. Their love grew stronger as they navigated the challenges of separation, knowing that each moment apart was drawing them closer to a future together.

Seth knew that the right moment to propose had to be as special as their journey together. He chose a hike through the woods for the engagement. When Seth got down on one knee and proposed there was no question in his mind that this was his future.
