What are the Health & Safety Requirements for travel to/within Argentina?

According to the latest updates from Argentine Immigration, this is the current checklist for entry into the country:

1. Proof of full vaccination

2. Declaration Form within 48 hours of travel (Link Here)

3. Negative PCR test within 72 hours of travel OR Negative Antigen Test within 48 hours of travel

4. Proof of COVID Health Travel Insurance

Argentina now requires COVID health insurance for all foreign visitors. We’ve provided a link to a webtool that offers how to acquire a plan to fulfill the requirements. Policies vary by age and trip duration with some policies starting as low as ~$10 per traveler while others may cover hotel/travel costs in the event of any travel disruption

Will there be health requirements for guests in attendance?

You are someone we deeply care about, which is why we've asked for you to share in this special moment in our lives. For that reason, your health and the health of all of our guests are our main priority. We will require all guests who plan to attend our wedding be fully vaccinated. With the emergence of new variables, we will ask all guests to get boosters where available in order to protect yourselves and all other attendees. We are currently examining available testing requirements and will provide that information in the coming weeks. If you have not done so, we kindly ask those planning to attend make the necessary arrangements to get vaccinated within your local communities prior to traveling.

What are the testing and mask requirements?

Majority of our events will be held outdoors, with the wedding dinner being the main exception. In addition to the travel requirements, we are requesting proof of a negative Rapid PCR test the Thursday of our Welcome Cocktail (2/24) ahead of the wedding festivities. We plan to adhere strictly to all local health and safety protocols to wear masks when required. For our events, we encourage our guests to wear masks in any indoor areas.

What are my testing options?

Here are a few options for testing ahead of our ceremony as well as travel back home (NOTE: If your international flight PCR test was conducted more than 48 hours prior to the day of the event, we kindly ask that you re-test the morning of the 1st ceremony):

1. Scheduling Testing with the Hotel Conceirge - For those staying at the Four Seasons and Sofitel, please contact the front desk for testing options. We've heard that they made provide testing within your rooms for a small fee or can provide you with testing sites/locations nearby

2. Testing Center - Here is the information for the lab that we have partnered with. They offer PCR (24 hrs), Rapid Antigen (15 mins) and Antibody Tests (48 hrs):

3. Take a "Fit to Fly" Antigen Rapid Home Test down with you ahead of travel. The Abbott BinaxNOW™ COVID-19 Ag Card Home Test as well as the Clarity Antigen Test are examples of kits that can be acquired in the US prior to travel and are proctored online. These specific tests can be utilized for our events and travel home as this test is eligible for international airline travel criteria and connects to the e-Med app

iHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test is another option. We've provided a link on Amazon. It takes about 2-3 weeks to deliver so any orders should be done well before you plan to travel.

NOTE: Make sure to place any at-home test in your carry on luggage and NOT your checked bag. The liquids in the test kit risk severe temperature conditions in steerage and may render them ineffective.

Will I be unable to return to the US if I continue to test positive after recovering from Covid?

According to the CDC, any traveler returning to the US requires a negative test OR show proof of recovery from COVID. This means a positive test along with a “letter from a licensed healthcare provider or public health official stating that the passenger has been cleared for travel.” In this scenario, any person that tests positive would need a doctor’s note and would not need to wait an extended amount of time, awaiting a negative result. Is a special visa needed to travel from the United States?

No visa is needed for travel to Argentina with a valid US Passport

What should we do if the events are postponed or cancelled due to Covid restrictions?

We will provide any updates if there are any changes. We are aware that our guests are traveling in from various parts of the world and the various restrictions that come with it. For those concerned about travel arrangements, we provide the following guidelines

1. We recommend booking with airlines that have flexible ticket or flight credit options.

2. Our hotels have a free cancellation policy up to 45 days before check-in.

How do we get to the wedding venue on Friday?

We have partnered with a transport service who will be providing van pick ups in front of the Four Seasons to the San Souci for all guests. There will also be departure times from the wedding venue throughout the evening. We will provide greater details of the pick up/drop off times the week of the wedding.
