Tyler and Lucy are high school sweethearts. They are both from Winston-Salem and attended the same elementary, middle, and high schools. They were always familiar with each other but did not become friends until Lucy's freshman year and Tyler's sophomore year of high school. After giving her a ride home from school every day once he got his license, Tyler and Lucy started dating in September 2017 and have been inseparable ever since then.

After Tyler finished his first year of college, he followed Lucy to UNC Wilmington where they were able to spend time together and grow their relationship by getting involved with their church, going on walks on the beach, playing pickleball, and lots of dates at local coffee shops.

During the month of June 2023, Tyler proposed to Lucy while watching the sunset on the Intracoastal Waterway at Wrightsville Beach! Shortly after, Lucy followed Tyler to Raleigh as he started a new job. While it has been an adjustment, they have loved finding out that Raleigh isn't so bad after all!

Tyler and Lucy would love nothing more than to celebrate the start of the next chapter of their lives with their closest family members and friends on May 18, 2024!
