Our Wedding

We go way back to the halls of Broadneck High School (Go Bruins!) We had some overlapping friends, saw each other at parties, but nothing more. On New Year’s Eve 2013, at a friend’s house (shoutout Saba), Arturo couldn’t take his eyes off Lucy. A few months of casual texting turned into something more, and by summer 2014, it was official. Lucy was at Towson, Arturo was wrapping up what he didn’t know would be his final semester at Washington College. After he transferred to the University of South Carolina, long distance began! Lucy visited just about every weekend; football game days in the fall and club lacrosse games in the spring. After college, Lucy moved to Charleston while Arturo finished school, and once we were both done, we moved back to Annapolis and shared a little third-story condo overlooking the Maryland State House. Then life did its thing, and we spent some time apart. We reconnected during COVID, while Lucy was living in Washington, DC and Arturo was crashing on a friend's couch in SC (thank you J, J, T, and Y!!!) By 2022, we were both living in Mount Pleasant, SC for round two..for real this time. We added Ruby (the sweetest pup with a pea-sized head) to the mix and settled into life on Isle of Palms, surrounded by some of our best friends. Over the years, we’ve celebrated some pretty big milestones together: college graduations, new cities, first “real” jobs, and Arturo’s MPH graduation from UMD. We’ve packed up apartments, started new chapters, and learned how to keep cheering each other on through every twist and turn. Now it’s on to forever...and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! We wouldn't be who we are (or where we are) today without the love &amp; support from each of you. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for cheering us on every step of the way.

Our Story

To make the day a bit more enjoyable, we are providing complimentary trolleys to take guests to and from the venue! If you’re not staying at or near either of the trolley pickup locations listed below, we recommend Ubering or simply taking advantage of Savannah’s walkable charm! See some sights on your way, and feel free to grab your favorite beverage or a light snack before boarding. Pre-Ceremony PickupPlease plan to board your assigned trolley between 3:20–3:35 PM. All trolleys will depart promptly at 3:40 PM for The Mackey House. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to ensure you don’t miss departure. Take a slow walk under the oaks, see the iconic fountain, and enjoy the beautiful green space in the heart of the city. While you’re there, visit nearby Chippewa Square, where Forrest Gump famously sat on the bench telling his story.

We’ve circled a recommended area on the map to keep you close to local sights, the Welcome Party, and the wedding day pick-up spot. Savannah is a super walkable city, so staying in this area will make it easy to get around. But don’t feel like you have to stay within the lines—pick whatever spot works best for you!
