Our Wedding

Our story begins several years ago but rather like a Russian novel that takes a little to warm up, it wasn't until a serendipitous trip up to Scotland, against the backdrop of lofty mountain peaks, as the bracken and ferns unfurled from winter slumber, that love began to stir.It may not have been love at first sight but it was on the Isle of Arran that the scales fell from both Christian and Lucy's eyes. With a combination of "mountain lion" like agility, strong leadership and a caring determination to ensure everyone - including the family hound - made the summit of Goat Fell, Christian wooed his bride to be. Similarly, despite her street cred and affinity for the boutiques and bars of London's most underground and happening haunts, Lucy took the rugged terrain of Arran completely in her stride. Whilst the rest of the party caught their breath admiring picturesque views, Lucy, with her long legs, stormed ahead with a steely determination to be queen of the mountain. Never before have the slopes of Goatfell been witness to such prowess and loveliness. Fast forward a fair few awkward conversations and a summer of beautiful fits and starts, followed by nine months apart with the whole of the Atlantic and eight time zones between them. Christian welcomes Lucy back onto British soil and begins to hatch a plan to make her his wife.One fateful September afternoon with the summer sun slowly slipping away, as gulls wheeled overhead and peregrines picked off pigeons mid flight, with the sound of crashing waves in the background, Lucy said yes!
