"This may be the beginning of a beautiful love story..."

I followed Luke on instagram after my parents raved about how much they loved their trip to Nashville for Westminster's Seminary on Saturday in the fall of 2022 (and about some family they had met who had a VERY cute son). It happened in March over my spring break, and after clicking the follow button, I casually turned to my parents and said "who knows... this may be the beginning of a beautiful love story." Little did I know how right I would be.

After we spent quite a bit of time in each other's Instagram DM's (as I silently prayed he'd ask for my number), we began texting. It was nonstop. I was always smiling at my phone waiting for the next text to arrive. A few weeks after we started talking, Luke bought me a record while on a trip to see his grandparents in St. Louis (Mac Miller for those who care). He told me he'd have to get it to me somehow, and it would probably be best if he could also take me on a date. Without hesitation, he made the 8 hour drive from Huntsville, AL to Columbia, SC to see a girl he'd never met who was already madly in love with him. The rest is history. We started tracking the miles we spent driving and flying to one another, but it became too many to count.

As the months went on, we began to realize the reality of our situation. I would be heading into my pharmacy school rotations and needed them scheduled by the end of the fall semester. So one afternoon, we sat down in a coffee shop in Columbia and put everything on the table. Before our coffees were empty, we knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that we wanted to be married and didn't want to spend a year apart before doing so.

Since then, we have been going back and forth between Nashville and Columbia and visiting places such as St. Louis, Eatonton, Athens, Huntsville, Orlando, Charleston, Philly, and many more.

It's been a wild year, but we couldn't be more happy with how it's turned out. Through the ups and the downs, there has only been one constant, Christ's unrelenting love for us and his never failing plans for our lives.

We thank everyone who has been a part of the past year, whether it's hosting us, feeding us, or just taking the time to talk with us, we appreciate you and cannot begin to express our gratitude!

With all our love,

Luke & Lucy
