October 23rd, 2021   Quillin and Lucy met at Black Frier one cool evening in the fall, at a historic spot in Dallas, Texas on McKinney Street. As Lucy and their mutual friend headed to meet some old high school friends, Grace Beitter was preparing Lucy by explaining who they were out to meet and ushered that Lucy would be particularly fond of a friend whom Grace had come to know well over the years. As the girls walked up the steps of the pub, Lucy had no idea what to expect, but was pleased by the gentleman who formally introduced himself with a handshake and immediate offer to buy her a drink. With the flirtatious eye contact and the old fashioned exchange of phone numbers, Quillin had her hooked in no time! Mesmerized by his kindness and chivalry, she quickly inquired with her friend, Grace, what the 4-1-1 was with this guy before making any further assumptions. Grace realized her reason for inquiry before Lucy had even finished her investigation and both were happy and excited at the possibility of an interest in Q! Grace assured her that Quillin was a precious guy and even ushered how smart of a match the couple would be!   The next day Lucy just so happened to be having brunch with church friends right around the corner from where Q and Grace had gone to hang out at Old Monk! The Lord’s timing is everything!   As the night went on, Quillin wasted no time in requesting further time with Lucy. Though she was reluctant to accept his invitation to a date, she did allow him her phone number, intrigued that he showed his maturity and good manners throughout the rest of the night. Lucy played hard to get for the next 12 hours until they both found themselves running into one another the next afternoon to share a few mimosas and pleasant conversations at the Old Monk on Henderson. Quillin did not give up and the rest is history!   Their first date was at Oishii in University Park, followed by many more that same month. By November 6th, Quillin was locking it down.   As the months passed, they found their many similar interests in adventure, discovering delicious restaurants, spending time with friends, exploring many new places, and vacationing in all of the most fun and beautiful places.   They became members of Park Cities Presbyterian Church in December of 2022!

One of Lucy and Quillin's favorite spots for a delicious pastry and cup of coffee. One is close to the hotel off Oak Lawn, there is a second location on Knox Street as well!

An iconic Dallas outdoor spot, pet friendly! Typically a longer wait mid-day but is on the walking trail! Lucy and Quillin love to put their names down walk the duration of the wait and then grab an ice cold summer beer or sangria with brisket quesadillas or hamburgers!
