What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please arrive at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church between 12:30 PM and 12:45 PM to allow ample time for parking and getting seated before the ceremony at 1:00 PM.
Is there parking at the ceremony location?
Yes! There is street parking along 54th Street, 55th Street, and a few spots near the entrance of the church on 19th Avenue. There are also 2 parking lots near the church: one right next to the church on 19th Avenue, and one next to Columbus Park on 54th Street.
Can I take photos or videos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that phones and cameras are put away during the wedding ceremony, so that all guests can be 100% present with us during this time.
What is the dress code?
For the ceremony, we ask that you wear formal attire. For the reception, feel free to change into something more business casual or continue wearing your formal attire. Both events will be held indoors.
Are children invited?
With the exception of those in the wedding party, we have chosen to make our special day an adults-only celebration to ensure that all guests, especially parents, can fully immerse themselves in the joy of the occasion. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time, so you can celebrate with us. Consider this a well-deserved date night!
Can I bring a plus one?
To ensure that we can accommodate all guests comfortably within the venue's capacity, we ask that only invited guests attend the wedding ceremony and reception. If you received a plus one, it will be shown on the RSVP page. We appreciate your understanding!
I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
We thank you wholeheartedly for traveling to celebrate with us! If you need assistance, please visit the "Travel" tab to see hotel options in the Kenosha/Racine area.
What do I do during the break before the reception?
The travel time between the church and the reception venue is between 20 and 25 minutes. The wedding party will be taking photos after the ceremony with the reception beginning at 4:00 PM. Use this time however suits you, whether it be heading back to your hotel or house to rest and freshen up, or find something fun to do in the Kenosha/Racine area! If you would like recommendations, check out the "Things to Do" tab.
Will there be vegetarian options at the dinner?
Yes! When submitting your RSVP, please indicate any allergies or dietary restrictions, so we can plan accordingly.
What should I do if I can't make it?
You will be dearly missed! If you are unable to attend the wedding and reception, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "No", so we can plan accordingly. If you have already RSVP'd "Yes", but find that you will not make it, please notify Lucy or Jacob as soon as possible.
