We were introduced to each other by Lucy’s brother, Ben, during our freshman year at the University of Texas. We quickly became good friends and spent the next four years growing our friendship through frequent movie nights, late-night milkshake runs and Greek Life date parties.

As our time at UT came to a close, we began to recognize that our long-term friendship had changed into something new. After graduation, we started dating and immediately knew that this was special.

Shortly after graduating, Will moved to Dallas to start his career at American Airlines while Lucy remained in Austin to pursue her career in the music industry. Over the next two years, we spent many hours driving I-35 so we could enjoy weekends together. Eventually, Will was able to move back to Austin and we had the opportunity to continue growing our relationship. We have enjoyed numerous music festivals, weekends on the lake and trips with our families since being back in the same city.

In December of 2022, while Lucy was home for the holidays, Will surprised her with an unexpected present and asked her to marry him. We could not be more excited to start our lives together and we cannot wait to celebrate with our closest friends and family this March!
