<p style="text-align: left;">Hey all! We are so looking forward to Friday December 12th! Just a week away. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone. The ceremony and reception are both being held outside barring weather. As of now it looks nice and clear with a high of 64. However, as the evening progresses and the sun sets temperatures will drop, so plan accordingly. A jacket, blanket scarf, or shawl will definitely come in handy. If the weather shifts and rain comes the ceremony and reception will move inside. Again, we’re excited to get married and have all our loved ones surround us. See you in a week!!!</p>

Our Wedding

Somehow in the grand landscape of here, there and everywhere, Ethan and I found one another. Truly our story is one of “God is in the details”. We never really should have met, circumstances being what they are. I live in Bluffton, SC and he’s outside of Asheville, NC. The connection we shared at the start was our love for the Lowcountry, specifically the beauty of Hilton Head Island. I remember seeing Ethan’s profile pop up and said in my head “Woah, where has this one been hiding?” only to find out he didn’t live in SC at all. He had actually felt the Lord put it on his heart to change his location and see what fish he might find in the sea on and around the island. He absolutely says that he found the best catch in me. For us both, it was different from the start. There was still some uncertainty and no guarantee of meeting up until months later in July. He suggested staying friends and keeping in touch and if we weren’t seeing anyone come July we could go out. Little did he know I never just wanted to be his friend. There’s not been a day that’s gone by since we started talking that we haven’t kept up the conversation. For both of us, an openness and depth to share was just there and it all felt easy. The opportunity arose to see each other at the beginning of June and we jumped on it. It was this meet up of two people who already deeply cared for one another that solidified so much of what we knew we already felt. And let me tell you, it wasn’t a quick dinner and a movie type scenario. We walked and talked and forgot to eat for seven and a half hours. It was after that we knew how God had specifically worked the timelines of our lives to be able to bring us to one another. Everything in our lives separately up to that point made sense when we met each other. God brought us both through seasons that prepared us for one another and gifted us with his peaceful presence through it all. Father’s Day weekend rolled around and another opportunity to see one another came to pass. Kiawah Island for a couple of nights and yet another big milestone, meeting the Morrow crew. Family is huge to us both so meeting families was a big deal. Let’s just say, the shoe fit! There was an ease and a feeling like I’ve known the crew for years. Come July, Ethan met the majority of my crew in a similar but larger capacity kind of way. He clicked with my people and again, it just felt right! Meeting each other’s families and seeing how we operated alongside them was yet further assurance that we were people who have similar backgrounds in the ways we were raised and we desire to see that continue. That 4th of July week we shared with one another our love for each other and just continued to move forward. Ethan prayed over us that night and we both left in awe of God’s goodness. Ethan and I had been extremely prayerful up to this point and that didn’t stop then. We had known from the onset that we weren’t  people who were just going to date if we couldn’t see something in it. We also both knew ourselves to know that we were ready if this was going to turn into more. And more is definitely what it turned into. I felt a peace in my heart to be able to move on from SC if that meant marrying the man God had brought me and that was a huge step for me. It was also a turning point for the entire relationship because it recognized giving something up for the other. With that peace being found, the ball just kept rolling. Continuing to root ourselves in the Lord and continuing to grow in one another led to talks of engagement and marriage and, here we are. Ethan got down on one knee, in Sea Pines on the 18th green, with our family looking out at us from across the way on the pier and asked me to marry him. Not as many words came out as he had planned, but the beating inside his chest spoke much louder than any words possibly could have. I  said “yes” and we fell more in love in that moment with the reality that forever really is ahead of us.
