Phil and Lucy met in June of 2022. Their first date went so well that they just had to see as much of each other as they could in the beginning of their relationship. They connected fast on their shared values: family, food and fun!


They spent a year together enjoying Chicago, traveling to weddings and family gatherings and had fun on each adventure. Some of their favorite pastimes together are constructing a puzzle or Lego, and cooking a decadent meal.


Lucy had spent the year planning a trip to Spain for her students and in May Phil was happy at a new job. Everything was going according to plan until Lucy was hit by a CTA bus. She is tough (you should see the bus) and Phil ran to be by her side just in time for an ambulance ride.


Fortunately, Lucy made it to Spain with students in June. It was a whirlwind trip and Phil had already planned to meet her once the students returned to Chicago. Lucy gave Phil the grand tour of the city she loves, Granada. While he already was in love with her, Phil quickly fell in love with Granada as well.


Granada is famous for serving a tapa with your drink. Phil and Lucy are thrilled to celebrate in December at Mesón Sabika where everyone can get a taste of this experience. Above all, they are eager to spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife!
