I'd like to buy something small to commemorate the day - do you have a wedding list/registry?
Your presence is our present - we just want you to celebrate our special day with us and we really don't expect anyone to buy us gifts! On this basis, we haven't got a wedding list/registry.
We understand though that some of you might like to give us something to mark the occasion, so, if you would like to make a small contribution to our honeymoon or to something we can choose together (like a picture we can put on the wall at home), that would be gratefully received and very much appreciated.

Are you inviting more people for the evening reception?
That isn't the plan, no. We think most people want to be part of the main event - the wedding ceremony. Unless we have said otherwise, if you have received an invitation, it is for the whole day - ceremony, food and the evening celebrations! Of course, if you are unable to attend the whole day, let us know as soon as you can so we can plan accordingly.
We are staying on the Friday night before the Wedding - are you planning on doing anything on the Friday evening?
If anyone is around on the Friday evening before the wedding and would like to get together for a couple of drinks, or something to eat, we will try and arrange something. What that something is will depend on numbers of people who want to join us!
What should I wear?
We are going for a relaxed summer wedding feel, so not too OTT, but still special enough for a wedding (and to make sure those who do want to dress up a bit don't feel silly or over dressed!). Light fabrics, pretty dresses, linen suits etc. Being the UK, obviously we don't know what the weather is going to be like, but hopefully it'll be warm and sunny at this time of year. All we do ask (more Lucy than Steve in fairness) is no scruffy shorts/jeans/trainers if you can help it...... we all know Steve would walk down the aisle in shorts and t-shirt if he was allowed.... but he isn't, so please don't make him jealous.
I don't know yet if I am able to come - when do I need to let you know for definite by?
We have asked everyone to RSVP by 20th February 2026, as we need to confirm numbers with the venue. Please try and stick to this date if you can. If this date is a problem though, please let us know.
How do I get to and from my hotel to the wedding venue on the day?
When you RSVP please let us know if you will require transport to or from the venue from your hotel on the day of the wedding. If we have a number of people staying in a similar area, we may be able to arrange a minibus or something similar to get people to and from the wedding, but we will know more nearer the time. Otherwise, we will provide details of local taxi firms for guests to contact.
Is there parking at the wedding venue?
Yes, there is parking at the venue. If you want to drive to the venue and leave your car there overnight, this is fine. You just need to collect it on Sunday 14th June.
Is it possible to camp near the wedding venue?
Yes. Washington campsite is a five minute drive from the venue if you would like to camp. Details are on the 'Where to Stay Suggestions' page.
Can I stay in my campervan at the venue?
Unfortunately not, no. Please make arrangements to stay at a local campsite if possible.
I have RSVP'd 'Yes', but due to unforeseen circumstances, I now can't come. What should I do?
We understand there may be unforeseen circumstances that arise nearer the time of the wedding that may mean you can't come. If this is the case, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the requisite arrangements. Everyone appreciates how expensive weddings are, not to mention that we are quite limited on the number of people we can accommodate, so please just bear in mind that if you can't come, and we have already confirmed numbers with the venue, we will still have to pay for your place. Ultimately, the more notice you are able to give us, the more likely it is that we will be able to ask someone else who we wouldn't otherwise have been able to invite. Thank you!
Will there be a bar?
Yes. Naturally. We are providing some wine and water for the tables, plus of course a bit of fizz etc. for reception and toasts, but sadly we can't quite stretch to buying all your drinks for you. So, there will be a bar open all day for you to purchase drinks - we will do our best to make sure they stock something for everyone. There is apparently a card machine, but as the reception is renowned for being pretty rubbish (because it's a bit remote), we have been asked to recommend that you bring cash.... sorry! Alcoholic drinks will be between £4 and £8 we reckon (obviously could be a bit more, depending what your tipple is), plus softies of course.
Do I need to bring cash to purchase drinks on the day?
Yes please. As above, whilst there is a card machine at the bar, it apparently doesn't always work due to poor reception (not ideal). So, to avoid disappointment and empty glasses, please do bring cash with you if you can.
Can we bring confetti?
Because the venue are quite strict on what can be used (biodegradable, natural, un-dyed etc. etc...), we will provide confetti for you to throw at us once the deed is done! So please don't bring your own.
