If you ask Lucy:
It all started one hot summer day on a long weekend as any other romance begins in this city- a dating app. Fed up with online dating, I got Jordans number and deleted the app as a last ditch effort to find love. We had made plans to go for a little walk with Hazel at Sugar Beach. When I first met Jordan I got a "finance bro" vibe from him and thought I was toast. However, we clicked instantly and the conversation was flowing. What had originally been a plan to take Hazel for a quick walk ended up being an 18km walk through the east end of the city! My ankles took years to recover (I wore Vans).
We continued going on dates and at one point I thought I just needed a break from dating- not from anything Jordan did, but from the general fatigue of dating in the city, and I was also moving to Mississauga. Jordan would send me texts of the google maps and Uber routes to Mississauga from his place, and this effort led me to give in and give things a shot.
2 months later I moved in.
We travelled, walked, played basketball, took Hazel to the park, endured a pandemic together (and survived it in a 600 sq ft apartment), bought and renovated a home together, and most recently, welcomed a beautiful baby girl together. On New Years Day in 2024 Jordan woke me up at the crack of dawn asking to come downstairs for a coffee. The stairs were lined with roses and rose petals, and he proposed. And now, here we are :)
