Chelsey and Luke met in late September of 2017 during Octoberfest in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Introduced through mutual friends, they went on a few dates and hit things off. After some time and a few more dates, they officially starting dating in October 2017.

Between 2017 and 2022 there were multiple different apartments, the addition of a cat and a dog, a few vehicle changes, and most importantly the development of everlasting love.

Fast forward to November of 2022. A long weekend trip was planned to scenic Door County, Wisconsin. They drove across the state through rain and storms to get to the Door in the early afternoon on November 5th. Once arrived, by a miracle, the skies cleared for a brief few hours and provided the necessary opportunity to get outside. They wandered down to the beach and Luke popped the big question.
