Our Story
How did you meet?
We began messaging each other through an online dating app called Hinge!
Where did you go for your first date?
We originally planned just to eat at Kamado Ramen in Midcity - Huntsville, AL. After an amazing conversation and plenty of spicy noodles, we soon found ourselves playing games at Dave & Busters for the rest of the evening!
We both later agreed that was the best first date either of us had ever been on and the rest is history!
How did it feel to see each other in person for the first time?
(Laura’s POV) - “It was definitely awkward and nerve-racking, but Luke made it better by talking nonstop”.
(Luke’s POV) - “She was so cute in person and so quiet at first. I remember thinking my #1 priority was to make her feel comfortable”.
How did Luke propose? Was it a suprise?
Part of our second date was in McFarland Park - Florence, AL. This was a defining date in our relationship where we began to express feelings for each other and have deeper conversations.
The proposal took place at this same park after we enjoyed a picnic provided by loved ones, expressed familiar feelings with desires for a future together, received a rainbow in the background as acknowledgment of God’s approval, and a conversation took place that went something like - “Laura Grace Haley will you marry me?” “Yes!!!” “Really?” “I already said yes, give me that ring already!!!!”
