What is the Address of the Venue?
The West Mill, Haslams Lane, Darley Abbey, Derby, DE22 1DZ
This is the address for the entire day we have planned - we can't wait to share it with you.
If you are arriving by car, we would recommend you use postcode DE22 1EB, as access to the opposite side of Haslams Lane is now pedestrianised. As you drive up Haslams Lane, you will spot the Mill chimney ahead of you. The West Mill is then signposted left.
Is there Car Parking available at the Venue?
Yes! There is room for approximately 30 cars at the Venue, however, there is additional space for Evening Guests, plus an Overflow Car Park back on Haslams Lane. We will ensure our Groomsmen are on hand to help guests arriving by Car.
The West Mill kindly asks guests to collect their cars by 10am the following day, should they be left on-site overnight.
When do you need my RSVP by?
23rd October 2024.
We kindly ask all guests to let us know if you will be attending by this date, so we can make appropriate arrangements for our special day. If your RSVP does not arrive by this date, we will likely let the venue know the total number of guests has changed.
What time should I arrive?
The Ceremony will begin promptly at 12pm. We kindly ask our guests to arrive at the Venue no later than 11.30am, to ensure you are able to explore the Venue and grab a drink before making your way to the Ceremony area.
Is there a Dress Code?
We would love our guests to dress up with us! It's a special day for you as well as us, and we want everyone at our wedding to look their absolute best.
Can I bring a guest?
We would love our wedding to be an intimate event, with close family and friends. Therefore, 'Plus Ones' and additional guests will already be specified on your invitation. If you need to double check anything, please speak to Georgia & Luke.
Are Kids invited?
We love all the children in our lives, however we have decided to keep our Wedding and Reception an adults-only affair (the only exceptions will be the little ones in our Bridal Party/immediate family). Invitations will be specific and will include all the names of any children invited. We hope all our guests understand and appreciate this, and most importantly, enjoy their night off!
Will there be an Open Bar?
Hmmmm, let us think about that.... HELL YES!
Until 5pm the drinks are on us, but hangovers the next day are totally on you! After 5pm, drinks can be bought from the bar in the Reception area.
Is there Accommodation on-site?
All on-site accommodation at The West Mill has been allocated to the Bridal Party only, for both the night before and the night of our wedding. However, there are plenty of hotels within a 5-10 minute drive of The West Mill - please check the Travel section for more information.
I'm staying over in Derby, but how do I catch a taxi back?
Fear not! The West Mill have kindly provided us with contact details for multiple taxi companies within the area, there is also a designated taxi pick-up point. These are also available at the Venue, should you need them on the day.

Can I take photos/videos during the ceremony?
We strongly request that guests do not have their phones/cameras out during the ceremony. It's really important to us that you experience these moments of joy with us, rather than taking photos which may also get in the way of our skilled Photographers and Videographer - they will share the most beautiful footage of the day with us, and we intend to show you each and every one of our photos anyway!
Although we are happy for guests to take as many photos as they want after the ceremony, we would only ask that guests do not post any photos or videos on social media until after our Reception has begun. We wouldn't want to spoil anything for our Evening guests! We hope everyone will be present and too busy enjoying the day anyway!
