Luke and Hannah met during their junior year at Dexter High School after having 6th hour AP English together. On the first day of school, Hannah sat directly across from Luke, and instantly had a crush on him! Luke would wave to her across the room—to her excitement—as she hoped that they would be assigned to work together. Finally one day, Hannah asked for Luke's help setting up two of their friends, as a ploy to talk to him. They met at their local coffee shop for their first date, at Joe and Rosie's. They sat in the coffee shop for 3 hours—just talking!! They decided to make it official after a few more fun-filled dates on January 17th, 2020.

Luke and Hannah conquered the COVID pandemic in their brand new relationship through lots of facetiming and online video game playing. They graduated from Dexter High School in 2021, and embarked on an adventure of long-distance as they both began their college careers, where Luke spent part of his freshman year at Hope College, and Hannah at Eastern Michigan University. Luke moved back home to attend Concordia University and they both commuted to their schools.

They were engaged in Rochester Hills at the Meadow Brook Mansion on a beautiful day in November, during what was supposed to be a Christmas tour of the mansion. Luke walked Hannah to a private location, on a bridge that faced the stunning mansion when he popped the question. Hannah was completely stunned! She screamed “YES!”. On their walk back to meet up with family and share the wonderful news, Luke had arranged to surprise Hannah with her mom being there to celebrate. She was surprised twice that day!

Luke and Hannah's post-wedding plans are to live with the Corum Family as they become settled in their life together as newlyweds. Luke's family will be graciously hosting them in an in-laws suite until they find a home of their very own. Hannah will be preparing her classroom for the incoming school year and Luke will be graduating as an RN in December 2025.
