A modern romance. One you could only appreciate if you were dating post 2017-ish.

Luke was on the dating app Hinge (not sponsored). He had a few too many bad first dates to give him any confidence moving forward with the app. The app came out with a new feature that was sure to make for some funny content - voice memos. It would provide a prompt, such as "believe it or not, I..." or "I wont shut up about..." and allow you to record your response. Luke thought, oh, this will be funny, and selected the prompt "My name is pronounced" and recorded himself saying "it's, uhhh, pronounced Luke". He thought it was hilarious.

Savanna was on the dating app hinge. And she hated it. Too many guys with fish in their profile pictures. One fateful evening Savanna was with her Maid of Honor and Bridesman Julie and Tanner, whom insisted they get some post-dinner swiping in for her. "I will never match with someone with a voice prompt" she exclaimed. But fate had other plans. She found Luke's profile, in which he offered clarity for anyone who may have been confused by the pronunciation of Luke, and she smashed that like button while snort laughing (that's how Luke imagines it happened, anyway).

The first date was... anticlimactic. Luke suggested looking at Christmas lights in downtown, but after the 2-minute walk through the lights in Cathedral Square, he realized he had to kill some time. Cheese curds at Flannery's it was!

Savanna, enjoying watching Luke flounder after his terrible timekeeping skills, had already won Luke over by giving him a frozen pizza as payment for picking her up. Luke was ready to propose right then and there.

Since then, it's been years of dinner dates, Bucks games, walks through the park, cat snuggles, and enough love to turn a 2-minute walk into forever.
