James Island - is the most ideal location. Lots of restaurants, 10-15 min from Folly beach & also 10-15 min from downtown Charleston, 30 min to venue. Mount Pleasant - Tons of great options. 15 min from downtown & 15 minutes to Sullivans Island & Isle of Palms (2 of the nicest beaches) also a great location if you don't mind it being about 45 min from venue. Downtown Charleston - Obviously GREAT places to stay, you'll be in the heart of it all but prices will be much higher. North Charleston - I would avoid any places in North Charleston besides Park Circle area and that hotel by the mall, that I have linked! Park circle area is safe and has a a ton of restaurants and bars. As well as, a big park for the kiddos! West Ashley - 15 min from downtown Charleston, 30 min to venue. Johns Island - Not much out here but you will be halfway from the venue and downtown.
