Our Wedding

From Water Fight to Wedding Night

According to Luke, if you want the short version of this story:Elizabeth sprayed him down with a hose—and that’s all it took.But if you’re here for the longer version... Our story begins in 2019, at the Aquinas Newman Center—our college church, and now, the special place where we will say “I do.” What started as friendly conversations during student gatherings turned into something more while we helped paint the basement hangout area. A few spilled brushstrokes later, a simple paint job turned into a full-blown paint fight and eventually turned water fight, and from there, our connection only grew stronger. Not long after, on July 21st, 2019, Luke officially asked Elizabeth out on their first date. The destination? Hinkle for a competitive round of putt-putt—though to this day, we still can't quite agree on who actually won. That same year, we took our first trip together to Texas, marking the start of many more adventures to come. In 2020, despite the chaos of COVID, we both graduated. 2022 brought some big changes—Luke opened his own business, and our lives took a step toward the future we were building together. Fast forward to 2023, a year full of milestones: a new car, a new home, and most importantly… the addition of our first (and furriest) baby: Pikachu the pup, who quickly became the center of our little family. Then came New Year’s Eve, 2024, when Luke proposed at home, with the help of Pikachu (who may or may not have stolen the show). It was the perfect, quiet moment to start the next chapter. Now, we’re so excited to celebrate our love in the place it all began—with the people who have supported and loved us along the way. We can't wait to see you at the Newman Center as we say forever.
