It started online with a spark from Tinder. There were a lot of nights texting in the dark. Both of us almost ready to give up on love, but I asked her to be a try-er.
Our first date was at The Mermaid-bowling. Our first kiss was in that parking lot when we first met. I was still healing from shoulder surgery, so of course she won.
With more nights apart, we started trying to plan a life together. We introduced our kids at the same place we had our first date. Kids get along great!
With a couple break-ups and a few make-ups we found that spark again. Hiede Nicole you're my best friend.
I proposed just after a year of being together. With the kids gathered around the Christmas tree, a beautiful 'yellow room' canvas print, I got down on one knee
Favorite things about Hiede :
She is a cheerleader for everyone in her life. During her highs she is bouncing off the walls with energy at work, having fun with the kids, or out on the dance floor. She doesn't shy away from attention, but she is still awkward and clumsy at times and lets me know she needs me. Her makeup always looks good and her love of animal print and the color pink gives her personality. She is the chai tea, tulip loving, tacos and butt touches kind of girl. She's flexible and is okay when our plans don't work out and we come up with something new and fun off-the-cuff.
She remembers that the little things matter. Before we said 'I love you' we used to say 'i Locomotive you'. We plan to get a different locomotive for a Christmas tree decoration every year
More? You've got it!
When I say forever, she says always
Our love waited so long to get started. She brought up twin flames and how they push and pull. Such a passionate fire was started with such a tiny spark.
Additionally-
I locomotive you!
Why it’s important
We came up with different L-words and this one just stuck. I'm not sure why.. but we go back to it from time to time. It's a great memory. And a good reminder for future Christmas gifts.
And Finally,
You're my twin flame!
Why it’s important?
It's deeper than a soulmate. It's more realistic.. it's push& pull, it's not always getting along, but being passionate when you are. It's not being afraid to hold hands or kiss when the time is right. Im the luckiest man alive!
Sincerely,
Luke Norstedt
We were married February 19th, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the chapel of flowers
