Although schoolmates since elementary, the couples romance started fall of 2018 during Monicas senior year and Lukes junior year. As members of the high school band, Luke began taking an interest in Monica during the countless hours of bus rides and HVL Honor Band practices. After graduation, Monica pursued her academics at Gustavus Adolphus College. A year later Luke coincidentally chose to study at Mankato State University - only 10 minutes away. In their almost 7 years together, the couple have spent a lot of time traveling the world. Luke and Monica have traveled to 18 states and 3 countries together. One of their favorite trips was to Washington D.C, where at sunset Luke proposed to Monica by the National Monuments along the Potomac River. God is so good, and they couldnt be more excited to keep writing their story together as a married couple!
