Love has a way of finding you when you least expect it. Here’s how we went from strangers to partners for life, as told by both of us.

From two small towns on opposite sides of the world, we crossed paths on New Year’s Eve in 2019, not knowing the journey ahead would change both our lives forever. Just a few months later, the world was turned upside down by a global pandemic. When Lu’s roommate fell ill with what we then called a “mysterious virus,” we made the bold decision to move in together only four months into knowing each other. What could have been a chaotic time became the start of a bond that has only grown deeper with every passing day. Now, five years later, we can’t imagine life without each other.

One of our moments we hold closest to our hearts is when we traveled to China, Germany, and Ohio to tell our families how deeply we love each other and that we’ve chosen to spend our lives together. Each time, we found ourselves overwhelmed with emotion as we shared our love and commitment with those closest to us. Those moments of pure vulnerability and love reminded us just how rare and beautiful what we share truly is.

We’re so excited to celebrate our wedding day with all of you. It’s a moment where our past, present, and future come together. We can’t wait to start this new chapter surrounded by the people we love most!
