It was February of 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic. We met purely out of coincidence as we worked together professionally on a few projects. When time allowed, and in between crazy days full of work, we would take the time to talk and learn more about each other. As time went on, we realized how much the two of us had in common, we were seemingly living parallel lives!

One day, we were working on installing security cameras in my backyard (romantic, I know!) I still remember how Michael asked to hold the camera on the wall as he pulled wires to connect it. The two of us didn’t initially realize, but we were very physically close to each other. As we faced each other, only inches away, we both felt a very strong emotional connection. We stared into each other’s eyes for the very first time, and the only thing we could feel was this intense desire to kiss each other. Instead, we followed those dang movie tropes, and quickly pulled away from each other. The two of us felt like we were nervous highschoolers again! After this moment, that emotional connection and desire never left. When we saw each other afterwards, we both knew things had changed between us, and for the better. The rest is history!

Neither of us expected to find each other while the world was seemingly collapsing, but we did. Four years later and we have both become abuelos to four adorable grandchildren; Bowie, Olivia, Ayla and Robert. Over time we’ve both realized that what truly brought us together, is our love for our families.
