Kade and Lydia met on an online Christian dating app in July of 2024. They started talking and met in person for the first time in Isle, Minnesota in August. They saw each other again in September in Brainerd, MN which is when they started dating.

Lydia then moved back to Wisconsin for the school year increasing the distance between them to 615 miles. Kade made multiple 10 and a half hour drives to Waukesha to visit and Lydia took the train to Thief River Falls many times as well.

Kade planned for their families to spend Easter together so that they could all meet. He made the plans with Lenette and told Lydia after the fact so she couldn't say no. All along he had been planning to propose in Brainerd where they had their first official date. He proposed on a small dock overlooking Long Lake where they had spent hours talking back in September.

Kade made the move to Waukesha in August of 2025 to be closer to Lydia as she still has 4 years of school left. After they are married they will live in Waukesha until Lydia is completed with school.
