We met the summer of 2018 at Loras All Sports Camp. Lydia was the nurse intern and Jake was a returning camp counselor. Throughout the summer our paths crossed occasionally, but as the summer came to an end we exchanged numbers as Lydia was moving to Rochester and Jake was moving back to Kansas City.

At the end of 2018 Lydia was visiting Bethany (Maid of Honor) in Kansas City and we ended up having a couple of drinks and sharing stories from the past few months. We realized that there was more than just friendship between us and after serious thought decided to jump into long distance dating. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit we took a look at our relationship and decided it was time to be together in the same city. Lydia moved to Kansas City and our relationship grew even stronger.

Fast forward to November 21st 2021, Jake had arranged Lydia's parents to be in Chicago for the engagement so that both families were able to celebrate the exciting day! We are looking forward to continuing to make memories together not only with each other but with our family and friends. We are so excited and grateful to celebrate with you!
