Our Wedding

The Beginning! Marcus and Lydia's story began at M-Theory Martial Arts, where Marcus had been training and teaching for most of his life. Lydia joined the gym and began training in Jiujitsu five months before their first date. Over the next few years, they trained tirelessly, traveled the world together, and competed fiercely in tournaments. Marcus and Lydia are the epitome of a dynamic duo on and off the mat. However, their relationship faced many challenges early on when Lydia received an early cancer diagnosis. Her dream of becoming a serious Jiujitsu competitor was temporarily halted. During that difficult time, Marcus stepped up as her caretaker without a second thought. After two long years of fighting, Lydia is currently cancer-free, and their dreams of starting a family together are stronger than ever.

The Proposal!Lydia and Marcus shared a deep interest in space, watching meteor showers and exchanging articles about the latest space news. When Marcus shared information about the Green Comet in February 2023, they made plans to view it together. Despite the freezing temperatures, they persisted with their plan, and while gazing at the stars, Marcus expressed his love for Lydia and proposed to her. Their shared passion for the universe led them to this beautiful moment, demonstrating the power of love and perseverance.

Sabrina has been the best friend of the Bride for over 17 years, and lives in Arizona now with her boyfriend Brandon and 3 adorable cats. No matter what, Sabrina has always been there for Lydia, and has been an entire support system all on her own. She loves animals, traveling, and taking care of her loved ones.

This is the closest hotel to the venue- which is about 45 minutes from our house for reference. Would be good to stay here if you don't want to drive late!
