We met for the first time at the famous Woodshed restaurant in Fort Worth.

We've enjoyed attending TCU football games each year since the start of our relationship. As a result, we have become season ticket holders and love tailgating with friends, cheering on the Frogs, and weekly visits to Buffalo Bros for the best wings in DFW.

Jake and Lydia celebrated their first Valentine's Day in Dallas at Ocean Prime.

Our first vacation together took place with great friends and members of our wedding party, Macy and Adam, in Cancun, Mexico.

Our love for wine and food led to planning a weekend in Napa, CA for Lydia's 25th birthday. We've since made Napa an annual travel tradition as a couple and love spending time together participating in wine tastings, vineyard tours, food pairings, and taking in the NoCal scenery.

While traveling to meet up with Lydia's family and friends in Dublin, Ireland for the Nebraska vs Northwestern football game, Lydia and Jake took their first trip abroad together- starting with a long weekend in London, England!

We celebrated our love for Nebraska football home games in Lincoln, NE with Jake's family in the fall of 2022!

In what is now considered one of our Top 3 sports experiences attended between us, TCU beat Michigan 51-45 in the CFP Semifinal (Fiesta Bowl) in Phoenix, AZ. One of Jake and Lydia's first of many college football playoffs between TCU and Nebraska Football ;)

Jake proposed to Lydia at the Rockefeller Rooftop garden in the Harwood District of Dallas. For context, this garden/rooftop site is located in the middle of the city, and on the 12th floor of a retail/office building, above a restaurant. In the weeks leading up to the proposal, Jake had been plotting the Date Night with a "distraction" plan to keep the proposal a surprise and come up with a reason for why we would be going to this rooftop location. He told Lydia that Mercat Bistro (the restaurant below) recently opened a new rooftop bar and that we should grab drinks there before eventually going to dinner at that restaurant. Lydia, being the planner she is, decided to search for this so-called rooftop bar's menu the day-of to plan out her drink order. To her surprise, Google was not aware this bar existed. Jake had to quickly pivot to make an excuse that it was SO new that they were lacking on social media presence and that we should check it out anyway. We made our way up to the 12th floor of the space and approached a private, decorated floral garden with candles and "Marry Me" signage waiting in the middle of the patio. This was a special moment we got to share together just the two of us (and a photographer). After the proposal, Jake had one more surprise for Lydia waiting at our favorite restaurant, Monarch, in Dallas. Awaiting us at the lobby were both of our families and champagne, ready to celebrate. We spent the rest of the weekend celebrating with family and friends in what made for an unforgettable engagement.

Maverick joined our family in the summer of 2023 after we were "just looking" for puppies at a local breeder. Now a 1-year-old Boykin Spaniel, he has made our lives and relationship so much more special.

One of Jake's lifetime bucket list items, we attended our first World Series together and were fortunate enough to watch the Texas Rangers hit a walk-off HR in Game 1 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Another check off the list of our memorable sporting event experiences together.
