Yellow Branch Falls Trail

2911-3023 Highlands Hwy, Walhalla, SC 29691, USA

This 3.1 mile out-and-back trail leads you to the base of a spectacular 50-foot vertical cascade. You will pass through groves of hardwoods and cross meandering creek bottoms before turning to circumnavigate the steep terrain. In the winter when the trees are bare, you can see the Walhalla vicinity as you hike. The waterfall can go from a full rushing cascade to small trickles, all depending on how much rainfall we've had recently.

Note: We got engaged here!! It’s a gorgeous waterfall :)

Riley Moore Falls

Riley Moore Falls in Long Creek, South Carolina offers a nice hike with beautiful views and a waterfall. The trail is well-maintained, with an easy downhill hike to the falls and a more challenging uphill return. Recent reviews mention a dirt road leading to the trailhead and a sandy beach at the bottom. The trail is generally considered easy, with some steep and gravelly sections.

Stumphouse Tunnel & Issaqueena Falls

Stumphouse Tunnel Rd, Walhalla, SC 29691, USA

Stumphouse Mountain Tunnel is an incomplete railroad tunnel for the Blue Ridge Railroad of South Carolina in Sumter National Forest. The tunnel, along with nearby Issaqueena Falls, a 100-ft cascade, are now a Walhalla city park.

Note: $5 parking fee per vehicle. We’ve also been here and it’s a great quick stop to see the tunnel and falls! They have a designated, easy walking path to a lookout point for Issaqueena Falls. The tunnel is also cool to see, and you can walk into the tunnel all the way to the blocked-off end.
