Lyna Vu and Vincent Nguyen met while studying at California State University, Sacramento in 2017. Lyna added him on social media but Vincent slid into her DMs. Who do you think made the first move?

Their first ever date was at Bonchon and ended at Leatherby's for ice cream while playing 13. (Vincent prepared the cards in his car lol) They connected learning each others values and interests, while sharing plenty of laughter. Vincent drove her home that night and Lyna was left confused if Vincent liked her but little did she know he already saw a future with her.

Over the 7 years, their relationship deepened, and the two shared many experiences. They had bonded with each others' families & friends, watched a lot of movies, danced the night away at concerts, and traveled the world. They experienced everything they talked about when they were only 20 years old.

While exploring Asia, in Singapore on December 17, 2023, Vincent decided to make Lyna's Crazy Rich Asian's dream come to reality and asked her to be his forever. He planned a surprise dinner with family on a rooftop bar called Smoke & Mirrors (Lyna loves rooftop bars) and they have been enjoying their engagement ever since!
