What should I expect at The Living Coast Discovery Center?
This is not your typical wedding. There will be animal encounters throughout the night. So roll up your sleeves and get ready to touch some wildlife.
Where do I park?
Take the E Street exit from I-5 freeway, head west on Gunpowder Point Dr., follow the road to the traffic circle, take the first exit, and turn left into the parking lot. The shuttles will pick you up from there to take you to the venue.
Why is there a shuttle?
Because the venue is on a National Wildlife Refuge, traffic is limited onto the site. There will be plenty of parking in the lot.
What time should I arrive?
The shuttles will start transporting guests at 4:30pm. You will have this time to enjoy and explore the center before the festivities begin.
The shuttles will run from 4:30pm until 10pm. If you forget something in your car, it will only about a 3 minute drive.
What will the weather be like?
Chula Vista in September averages a high of 77 and a low of 64. There is a light consistent breeze along the coast so a sweater is recommended for those who get cold. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all outdoors.
What should I wear?
It will be a semi-formal wedding. The ceremony and reception will be outdoors. There is dirt in some areas so high heels are not advised. All other areas at the center will be paved.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is strictly prohibited.
Are little ones welcome?
Yes of course. The more the merrier.
What if I have a dietary restriction?
Feel free to email (KendrickCaughtALam@gmail.com) us about your special dietary food needs and we will pass it along to the caterers.
When should I RSVP by?
Please let us know if you can make it by August 23, 2024.
