Our Wedding

Lyndsey and Robert lived in the same town, knew a few of the same people, and lived less than 5 miles from each other, but neither would cross paths until 2017. It took a social media site to bring the two together. In 2017, Robert and Lyndsey connected and figured out not only did they live in the same city, they had a lot of similar interests. They became friends and stayed in touch for a while. Robert even asked Lyndsey out a couple times, but she was completely oblivious! Over time, they drifted apart. The two didn’t talk for a year. On January 28th, 2019 Lyndsey found their old message thread, and realizing it was a year to the day that they had last spoke, shot Robert a message saying “hey so it’s been a year”. Their connection was instantly back, and a relationship grew. Lyndsey and Robert’s relationship is full of love, laughter, understanding (and good food!). They see each other not only as each other’s love but also their best friend. It was in May of 2019 in New Orleans that both Robert and Lyndsey realized that they were falling in love with each other. On June 19th, 2023 (four years from the day they said ‘I Love You’) Robert proposed at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. Lyndsey and Robert love making memories, and they are so excited to have you share in the celebration of their wedding! Who knew that social media could bring two people together and create such a lovely story?

Rhi and Lyndsey met in middle school. They’ve been best friends since 7th grade and have years of memories and laughter together!

Lyndsey met Destiny in Sigma Kappa her freshman year and the two connected over their many mutual interests. They’ve remained best friends ever since!

Lyndsey met Hannah in Sigma Kappa and the two instantly became best friends. They lived together for two years, have stayed close, and have many sweet memories together!

Baylor is Robert’s sister, and Lyndsey’s future sister in law.  She and Lyndsey have become friends over the years and share their love of reading!

Kaylee is Lyndsey’s sorority big. They’ve been best friends since Lyndsey’s freshman year and have many fun memories together! 

Kaylee Wagstaff

Mallory and Lyndsey have known each other since elementary school. They’ve always stayed connected and have been very good friends throughout the years!

Mallory Brock 

Nick and Robert have known each other since Robert was 10. Even through the years and being across the country from each other, the two have remained best friends! They share a love of creating music.

Nick Datko 

Sam is Robert’s brother in law. The two met in 2013, and have many fond memories together. They share a love of Rocket League and a good whiskey.

Michael is Lyndsey’s brother, and Robert’s future brother in law. He and Robert have become friends over the years and enjoy playing video games and talking together. 

Michael Shelton 

Franklin and Robert have known each other for quite a while. Their friendship began with skateboarding, and they have remained close over the years.

Lyndsey has known Ella Kay since she was a baby. They’ve watched each other grow up and love to laugh, be silly, and be creative together!

Holland is Ella Kay’s sister, and Lyndsey has known her since she was a baby. Lyndsey and Holland love to read, play, and draw together!

Bienville Square is located in downtown Mobile. With it’s beautiful oaks, green spaces, and fountain, it’s a lovely space to sit and enjoy the downtown area. Head over to the A&M Peanut Shop for a bag of in-house roasted peanuts to feed the famous Bienville Square Squirrels!
