The most convenient and best connected airport in the area is Split airport. It is also known as Resnik airport and it is the international airport serving the area of Split.

It is one of the busiest airports in Croatia, offering a lot of direct flights during the season.

Split Airport is merely a 30 minute drive from the Split port. There are regular shuttle buses heading into the city, as well as catamarans in the high season, but the most convenient way is to get an Uber or taxi.

If you rent a car / drive, you'll have to take the car ferry from Split to Stari Grad (2 hours) and then drive to Hvar (25 mins).

We also recommend looking into an Airbnb. There are beautiful villas on the island which may be the cheaper option. Make sure to check how far the Airbnbs are from Hvar Town if going this route.
