What most people would call “college sweethearts” has proven to be so much more. From the first moment I saw Lynn Redding, I was drawn to her—not just to her elegance, but to the warmth and kindness in her spirit. She carried herself with grace, and there was something in her demeanor that felt timeless.
We started as casual friends, often finding ourselves together at fraternity and sorority events. I’m sure she thought I was just another cheesy, know-it-all fraternity boy, and I saw her as the living embodiment of everything I’d been taught to admire in a woman. But fate had its own quiet plans for us.
Oxford, Mississippi became the canvas where our story began to take shape—fun college nights, late-night movies, and Sunday dinners on the square stitched together the early chapters of “us.” And then, during the winter break of our senior year, I knew—without a shadow of doubt—that I had met the woman I was destined to marry.
That certainty came during one of the hardest moments of my life. My father passed away, and I lost not only my dad, but my best friend. In that season of heartbreak, Lynn was my rock—steady, compassionate, and unshakable. She became my safe place. Together, through faith in God and the love we shared, we weathered the storm.
After graduation, Lynn followed her calling to nursing at Ole Miss—fitting for a woman whose heart is dedicated to helping others heal. Watching her walk across that stage, knowing the dedication it took to get there, remains one of the proudest moments of my life.
Today, our lives have come full circle in my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. I have been blessed with many deep and meaningful relationships, but none compare to the privilege of sharing my life with Lynn Redding.
And on May 15th, 2026, the greatest chapter of all will begin—when I marry the woman of my dreams, my partner in faith and life, my forever love: Lynn Redding
