So a funny thing about me is that I make a lot of decisions by asking the question left or right? So it's really ironic that I met the man I'm marrying by initially asking that very question. Needless to say, I chose the right answer and started talking to Matt. After we talked for a little while over snapchat, and he got the Spanish Inquisition from Emilie, I gave him my phone number. Once I decided he wasn't a stalker out to make me the subject of the next true crime show on Netflix, I decided to meet him face to face. We went on a date at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Hattiesburg (where unknown to him I had two different groups of friends there also- can't be too careful. Shout out to Kaylee and Emilie again!). I knew he was special when he ordered queso for me and laughed it off that I sent him the wrong address initially. I knew he was worth a second date when he survived Katelee threatening to get a full background check done on him and saying she had ways a making people disappear when I went to her apartment after our date. Fast forward to now and in that time we have gone through the death of family members, my Dad having a stroke, me moving (twice!), and job changes. Through all of it I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Matt is my perfect match. He is the man who so many prayed for for so many years without knowing a name. He's steady when I'm all over the place. He brings me back to reality when I'm in my own world. He's much more than could have dreamed for myself but, thankfully, God knew what I needed. He knew I needed Matt.

So, this is coming from a guy who has had heartbreak after heartbreak and thinking he would never find the one well, luckily, God had other plans! The moment I started talking to Lynn, I was actually enjoying a conversation, texts, and phone calls for the first time in a while. Then we had our first date, and I finally laid eyes on her for the first time (after her sending me to the wrong restaurant location first….), we got to enjoy a conversation face to face we just clicked, and I knew she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with!! I wasted no time getting to know this girl and talked to her dad as soon as I could about letting him know that I planned on being his son-in-law as soon as Lynn would let me. She made me happy that night and of course every day from that point on. Seeing how happy she is and from all the sweet messages, she has been my rock to keep me going when I have my bad days and she has always made my days a million times better!!! I can’t wait for us to be married and for the days of phone calls and FaceTimes to be over with because she’ll finally be my wife!!

Lauren is Lynn's older sister. Lauren is married to Andrew, the officiant for the wedding, and has two sons, Samuel and Thomas, who are the Ring Bearers!

Katelee makes up 1/3 of Lynn's William Carey Trio! Her and Lynn met their first year at William Carey and have been friends since. Lynn was Katelee's Maid of Honor, and Lynn is glad to have Katelee as one of her Matrons.

Haley makes the the last third of the William Carey Trio! Lynn and Haley also met their freshman year at William Carey. Lynn calls Haley her kindred spirit and is thankful to have Haley by her side- just like Lynn was by Haley's at her wedding!

Emilie is another friend Lynn met at William Carey! Emilie and Lynn became friends Lynn's sophomore year and Emilie's freshman year at WCU and have remained close friends since! Lynn is glad that Emilie can stand by her side as she gets married!

Kati is another friend Lynn met at William Carey. Lynn and Kati became close friends after taking a class together. Lynn and Kati could be found going on adventures around Hattiesburg- after grabbing dinner at Keg and Barrel first. Lynn is happy that Kati will be by her side!

Hunter is one of Matt's best friends! He and Matt have known each other since childhood.

Blake is another one of Matt's best friends. He and Matt met when they were both in welding school and were fast friends.

Dalton and Matt met one day in class and became fast friends! They’ve gotten into a lot of trouble together over the years, but Matt is happy to have him by his side as he marries Lynn!

Thomas is Lynn's youngest nephew! Lynn is excited to have TomTom help his Big Brother on her big day! She can't wait to continue to watch Thomas and his new Uncle Matt grow closer as Thomas grows up!

There is plenty of things to do around Mobile! You can take a trip downtown and explore Mobile's rich history by seeing the Carnival Museum, Fort Conde, and taking a stroll through the USS Alabama Battleship. You can also do some shopping in McGowan Park or in West Mobile. If you want to take advantage of the close proxmitiy to the beach Dauphin Island is just a short drive as well!
